Ventolin is an electronic music project by Czech artist David Doubek. The core of his work is live performances – energetic and performed without a computer, using only synthesizers and sequencers. His music blends disco, techno, acid, pop, and punk.
The project started in 2007 as a one-time performance, but quickly became his main artistic focus. In 2012 he released the album “Totem”, followed by “b” in 2017, which brought him wider recognition.
The track “Disco Science” from that album gained over 2.5 million views on YouTube. The album had a more song-oriented style and was very well received. He toured intensively for over two years, gaining popularity but also experiencing burnout. This period was interrupted by the pandemic. After that, Ventolin released “Dneska se vyčasilo” (2021), a more personal and introspective album. After returning to the stage, his live shows became even more energetic, and he toured intensively until the end of 2023. In 2025, he released his latest album “Všechno nejlepší”, a blend of alt-pop and techno – danceable, raw, and still full of his signature humor and underground spirit.
